Whitby new ALL team to be called the Steelhawks

The Arena Lacrosse League (ALL) announced today that the new Whitby ALL team will be nicknamed Steelhawks, a throwback to when a team of the same name played in the National Lacrosse League 1991.

"When we first thought of adding a Whitby franchise, a few lacrosse enthusiasts immediately suggested the Steelhawks in reference to the Whitby team that played in the four team National Lacrosse League in 1991 said ALL President Paul St. John. "Although that version of the NLL only lasted one year, everyone seems to remember the Steelhawks name".

The Steelhawks logo will be unveiled sometime in the near future as the ALL Graphic Designer Collin Stephens has been hard at work once St. John gave him the task. "Collin has done some great work for us, designing the majority of our team logo's, we are really looking forward to the finished work on this logo, his vision for the Steelhawks look is exciting".
