Week 4 Recap

On January 14th, 2023, the Arena Lacrosse League West Women's held their third weekend of games at the Langley Field House; on the unceeded Traditional Territory of the Kwantlen, Katzie, Semiahmoo, and Matsqui First Nations.

To help support an event being hosted by the Urban Native Youth Association we collecting gently used clothes, shoes and accessories, on our January 1 and 14th games. Collecting bags of items donated from families and players. We will be doing one more day of donations for the UNYA on Jan. 21.2023.

The first game on Jan 14th was between the Turtles vs the Hawks, that took place at 1:00 pm. Both teams came with high intensity and determination. Turtles goal tenders #00 Ryleigh Sadler and #01 Rhyan Holmes had a combined impressive 30 saves. Hawks goal tender #00 Ella Friesen with 36.

Turtles goal scorers were #3 Gaby Jones with 1 goal; #6 Taylor Hamilton with 1 assist; #8 Kaila Barteski with 1 goal and 1 assist; #9 Beth Anderson with 2 goals and 1 assist; #12 Deb Phillips with 1 goal; #17 Olivia Ng with 1 goal; #19 Grace Murrell with 1 goal; # 13 Makena Adrian; and #10 Amy Ralph with one goal. 

Hawks goal scorers were #4 Bianca Santucci with 1 goal and 4 assists; #7 Jessica Caravetta with 1 assist; #8 Raegan Mackenzie with 3 goals and 1 assist; #11 Breanna Hollingshead with 1 goal; #13 Andee Jackson with 2 assists; #16 Rylee Mackenzie with 1 goal and 1 assist; #7 Amber Grais with 1 assist; #18 Kameko Hall with 2 goals and 1 assist; and Sienna Prestia with 1 assist.

The second game was between Team Bears vs Team Deer, that took place at 2:40 pm. Both teams battled it out and made for an exciting game to watch, leaving fans on their toes.  Bears goal tender #00 Kristine Renauld with an impressive 26 saves. Deer goal tender #00 Julie Spooner with 30 saves.

The third game was between Team Bats vs Team Flying Squirrels that took place at 4:25 pm. Both teams played well and fought hard. Team Bats goal tender #00 Annika MacDonald with 39 saves, and Team Flying Squirrels goal tender #00 Julie Spooner with 26.
