The Arena Lacrosse League East Power Rankings - Week 1

The Arena Lacrosse League East Power Rankings after Week One:

1.  Brampton Express (1-0)

Picking up where they left off last year, the Brampton Express were able to control a strong Monarchs team in a rematch of last year's ALL final.

2. Ohsweken Bears (1-0)

For most of last year, the Ohsweken Bears were primed to make big steps forward.  This season saw that plan come to fruition.  Led by Rioux Johnson, Xander De La Ronde, Steven Portelli, and Weylon Abrams, the Bears showed off an explosive offense to win handily.

3.  Peterborough Timbermen (1-0)

The Timbermen were also on the cusp of doing something really great last year.  This year's squad looks to have all the tools to be an exciting team.  Led by Aaron Woods, and Austin Lamoureux, Peterborough was able to defeat a tough Whitby team.

4.  Paris RiverWolves (1-0)

The Paris RiverWolves were able to outlast the Oshawa Outlaws in a shootout on Saturday.  Led by Kaymon Diabo, Jeff Rosa, Carson Moyer, and Andy Campbell, the RiverWolves showed they could score almost at will.  If there is one thing concerning, it is the fact that they gave up 16 goals in the victory.

5.  Oshawa Outlaws (0-1)

The Outlaws showed they can score with the best of any team.  The question is can they tighten up the defense?  If the back end can be more disciplined, they will make a lot of noise this year.

6. Toronto Monarchs (0-1)

One game does not a season make, and playing the defending champions doesn't help things either.  The Monarchs will have to get used to running an offense without league MVP Parker Pipher.

7. Whitby Steelhawks (0-1)

A bit of a surprise with such a low goal output against the Peterborough Timbermen on Saturday.  The team has gone through a bit of transition, but will be in the upper part of the rankings sooner rather than later.

8. Six Nations Snipers (0-1)
Last year the Snipers were inconsistent.  This year they look to be more stable.  This is a very talented team that just needs to find a common page to start moving up the rankings.
