General Manager and Head Coach Steve McCarthy of the Oshawa Outlaws has announced that Steve Toll has joined the Outlaws coaching staff. Toll, a long time NLL standout has spent the majority of his post pro playing career coaching summer lacrosse, starting in the minor ranks but more recently as the Head Coach of the St. Catharines A's of the Ontario Junior A loop. Prior to that, Toll coached the Mimico Mountaineers to a Minto Cup berth in 2017, finishing 3rd in Canada. Toll was also part of the Buffalo Bandits off floor coaches, with the Outlaws, he will coach the offense.

"Steve is an upcoming coach that is very close to being ready to join the ranks in the NLL, coaching with us in Oshawa will provide Steve the opportunity to be behind a bench playing under pro rules for the first time, basically his next step towards reaching that ultimate goal that the majority of coaches in the ALL strive for" stated McCarthy. "We are confident the success Steve has had coaching Junior A in the summer will carry over to the Outlaws as we aim to recapture the ALL Cup that we won in year one of the ALL." McCarthy added.

The Outlaws and new coach Toll hit the turf this Saturday December 8 at Children's Arena, practice time is 2-4pm.
