by Paul St. John

The Arena Lacrosse League playoffs opened tonight at the TRAC in Oakville with the St. Catharines ShockWave punching their ticket to the Final Four this weekend with a convincing 15-11 victory over the Paris RiverWolves. Grant Crawley had a solid game between the pipes for the ShockWave and the ShockWave top players dominated at times when necessary, answering each time the RiverWolves tried to get back into the game.

Brandon Slade on the transition end provided a goal of the year candidate and Brooker Muir as well as Dylan Laplante kept the RiverWolves on their heels all game moving the ball forward with patience once centre line was crossed.

St. Catharines with the win, now waits for the result of the 2nd Quarter-Final between the Toronto Monarchs and the Peterborough Timbermen Friday night (game time 8pm at the TRAC) before they will know their Final Four Semi-Final opponent Saturday.
