Snipers Surge Past Steelhawks with Dominant Second-Half Performance

The Six Nations Snipers delivered a statement performance, exploding offensively to defeat the Whitby Steelhawks 19–8 after overcoming an early deficit.

Whitby came out sharp and dictated the pace early, jumping out to a 3–1 lead midway through the opening quarter. Goals from Brayden McGregor, Justin Bragg, and Owen Orpana gave the Steelhawks early control, and even after a late response from Stone Jacobs, Whitby carried a 3–2 lead after one.

The Steelhawks extended that momentum early in the second, quickly pushing the score to 5–2 with a pair of power-play goals. But from that point on, the game completely shifted.

Six Nations found another gear and never looked back.

Sparked by a power-play goal from Chayton King, the Snipers went on a relentless run, scoring six of the next seven goals. Thunder Hill ignited the comeback with a pair of key markers, while Stone Jacobs and Wes Whitlow delivered clutch shorthanded goals to swing momentum decisively. By the end of the half, Six Nations had turned a three-goal deficit into an 8–6 lead.

The third quarter was all Snipers.

Six Nations dominated every aspect of the game, pouring in seven unanswered goals in a decisive stretch that put the contest out of reach. Kealon Pilon led the charge with a multi-goal effort, while King and Jeremy Bomberry continued to capitalize on Whitby’s defensive breakdowns.

Leading 15–6 heading into the fourth, the Snipers stayed aggressive, adding four more goals to cap off a commanding performance. Whitby managed a pair of late goals, but the outcome had long been decided.

In total, Six Nations scored 17 goals over the final three quarters, showcasing depth, speed, and clinical finishing. A game that began with Whitby in control quickly turned into a dominant display by the Snipers—one that sends a strong message moving forward.
