Oshawa Outlaws Win The ALL Cup

by Paul St. John

Zach Higgins was outstanding in goal and Oshawa battled back from a 9-6 fourth quarter deficit to hang on and beat the Toronto Monarchs 11-10 tonight in a thrilling Championship game, winning the inaugural ALL Cup. The Outlaws scored 5 goals in just under four minutes to take their first lead of the game after being stymied time after time by terrific goaltending of Craig Wende, who had matched Higgins save for save and then some to that point. Higgins had to make a foot save off a Mike Teeter shot with 2 seconds left to preserve the win and capping off the first Arena Lacrosse League season in style. Higgins was named Playoff MVP.
