Jeff Dowling has been selected to head up the soon to be named Brampton franchise in the Arena Lacrosse League. Dowling brings ample experience to the General Manager/Head Coach position as he currently fills the same role with the Hamilton Bengals Junior B team which is part of the Ontario Junior B loop played during the spring/summer months. Jeff is also part of the Canada coaching staff that competes in the IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship and he is also Head Coach of Team Ireland for international play.

Dowling is a two-time NLL Cup champion as an assistant coach with the Calgary Roughnecks in 2004 and again with the Buffalo Bandits in 2008. Jeff also served as head coach of the Roughnecks on an interim basis in 2007 as well as head coach of the San Jose Stealth.

"I'm excited about the opportunity to lead the new Brampton franchise. I have great memories of growing up in Brampton as a youth attending Huttonville Public School," stated Dowling. "I am proud alumni of the Major Excelsiors, playing four seasons in the mid 90's, my brother was a Mann Cup winner with the Excelsiors in 1998 and my dad was part of the Brampton Minto Cup champions in 1959."

Joining Dowling in Brampton will be Brent McCauley who will be the Director of Operations as well as the Assistant GM. On the coaching side, Dylan Evans will oversee the defensive end, Kevin Haynes will operate the offense while Todd Wilfong will serve as an Assistant Coach.

"I am excited by the group of lacrosse personnel we have been able to put together," Dowling continued. "I can't wait to get going with this fantastic coaching and management staff. We'll put together a hard-working team that will battle from whistle to whistle."
