Ewen, Rahe lead the way for Sea Spray

Matching seven-point games from Tyler Ewen and James Rahe led the Sea Spray to victory on Sunday afternoon.
Ewen finished with five goals while Rahe had a hat trick in their team’s 14-11 victory over the Grizzlies in Arena Lacrosse League West Division action. The win improves the Sea Spray to 7-5 (and second spot) while the Grizzlies lost for a sixth straight contest and sit at 4-8.
Tyler Kirkby (1+5), Gordie Phillips (2+1), Lukas Nielsen (1+1), Keegan Bell (1+1) and Brendan Szabo (1+0) had the other Sea Spray goals with Lee Jackman finishing with 45 saves on 56 shots, an .803 save percentage.
For the Black Fish, Drew Kask (2+2), Jack Margetson (2+1), Pearson Willis (2+1) and Erik Maas (2+0) each scored twice while Carlton Schuss (1+1), Jake Stott (1+0) and Tyler Garrison (1+0) each had a goal. Kyle Mooney stopped 48 shots as the Grizzlies were outshot 61-56.
Both teams are right back at it with midweek games for Week 13. The Black Fish (5-7) take on the Sea Spray (7-5) on Tuesday, February 21 while the Grizzlies (4-8) face the Shooting Eagles on Wednesday, February 22. Both games begin at 7:00pm at Langley Events Centre.
