Arena Lacrosse League East Week 9 Power Rankings:

1. Paris RiverWolves (6-1):

A big win over a strong team in Peterborough keeps the RiverWolves in the number one spot.  Paris will have to be on their game next week when they face the Oshawa Outlaws in Oshawa Saturday.

2. Whitby Steelhawks (7-1):

The Steelhawks had another great offensive showing this past weekend beating the Six Nations Snipers 21-13.  Next week they have a huge challenge in the Peterborough Timbermen In the early game in Oshawa.

3. Oshawa Outlaws (5-3):

Oshawa got back on track this past weekend with a big win over the Ohsweken Bears.  Good news for the Outlaws is they are getting production from multiple players.   Next week will be a huge test when they face the Paris RiverWolves in the late game in Oshawa.

4. Peterborough Timbermen (5-3):

The Timbermen have shown they can rack up offensive numbers.  Where they need to be concerned is the number of goals allowed.   One of their toughest tests of the year lies ahead next week, facing the explosive Whitby Steelhawks on Saturday afternoon.

5. Toronto Monarchs (3-5):

Toronto had a rough outing in Brampton, losing 23-13 last Friday.  The concern lies in the back end, and a good defensive showing will go a long way to a victory next week.  A good showing next week against the Six Nations Snipers will help them in moving up the rankings.

6. Brampton Express (2-5):

The Express had a great outing last Friday in Brampton, and are looking to build from it this coming week.  If Brampton are going to be successful, they will need big production from Jake McNabb, Sam Dramnitzke and Jeff Wittig.

7. Ohsweken Bears (2-5):

A promising start, but recently a four game losing streak has the Bears heading in the wrong direction in the power rankings.   A strong game in Brampton on Friday will be a big step in climbing back up the rankings.

8. Six Nations Snipers (0-7):

If there are was a positive from last week's loss to the Whitby Steelhawks, it was the offensive output of thirteen goals.  What is concerning is the allowing of twenty three.  For the Snipers to be successful, the defense will need to tighten up.  This coming week they face the Toronto Monarchs who have also been inconsistent lately.
