Arena Lacrosse League East Power Rankings Week 6

The Arena Lacrosse League East Power Rankings after Week Six:

1. Brampton Express (5-1) -‐-

This week's victory is their 4th in a row, this team is rolling.  Another strong defensive showing.  The only thing that is a minor chink in the armour is special teams giving up 2 shorthanded goals in the game.  Ten individual scorers on fourteen goals shows just how deep this team is.

2. Peterborough Timbermen (4-2) ---

This team is on another level when Aaron Woods is in the lineup.  The Timbermen's leading scorer led all scorers again, in a big win over the Six Nations Snipers.  Gavin Williamson looked great in net, and the combination of he and Jackson Hainer is as good as any tandem in the league.

3. Toronto Monarchs (3-3) ---

Although the Monarchs lost this past week, they were without three of their top five scorers.  A tough section in the second quarter had them playing g from behind.  A good sign is that the scoring is spread out through the lineup.  This will be advantageous as the games have more meaning in the playoffs.

4. Whitby Steelhawks (3-3) ⬆️3

I said a few weeks ago...it was only a matter of time for this group to be in the top four of the league.  In the last two weeks they have scored 35 goals while only giving up 18.  This team is only going to get stronger as they get more comfortable with each other.

5. Ohsweken Bears (3-3) ⬇️1
The last few weeks have been tough.  Two lopsided losses in the last three weeks.  What is more worrisome is the lack of scoring recently.  For this team to be competitive, Shane Halliwell, Dante Kulas, Eddie Renaud, Steven Portelli, and Xander De La Ronde all need to be engaged.  If they can get on the same page, this team still has an opportunity to make a lot of noise this season.

6. Paris RiverWolves (2-4) ⬇️1

Although they were defeated by Brampton this week, they put up a good fight all the way to the final horn.  This was a decent bounce back performance after last week's lopsided loss to Toronto.   This team needs to dig deep next week against Ohsweken and get back on track.

7. Oshawa Outlaws (2-4) ⬆️1

The Outlaws looked very good in their victory over the Monarchs.   This team goes as John St. John goes!  St. John led the way with six goals, also adding five assists.  To add to the strong offensive showing was the superb goaltending of Jackson Brown.   If Brown is on his game, the Outlaws can put a scare in any of the top teams in the league.

8. Six Nations Snipers (2-4) ⬇️2

Inconsistentcy is the word that comes to mind.  For a few weeks, the Snipers looked to be getting stronger, with more scoring.  The last couple of weeks have been like the past, with a strong first quarter, then diminished productivity for the next few quarters.  This team is plenty talented, but needs to play a full sixty minutes in every game to be successful.
