Arena Lacrosse League East Power Rankings for Week 14

1. Whitby Steelhawks (12-1)

Another week, another strong decisive victory.  This team just keeps rolling.  The addition of Curtis Conley (2g,3a) paid dividends immediately, adding to an already potent lineup.

2. Brampton Express (8-5)

A few bumps in the road a while back, this team has rhymed off seven wins in a row.  A convincing win over the Oshawa Outlaws this week has them move up one spot in the rankings.

3. Oshawa Outlaws (8-5)

Two losses in a row, including one to the red hot Brampton Express, has them down one spot in the rankings.  The Toronto Monarchs are their next opponent, and with playoffs on the horizon, a win will do a lot for the teams confidence.

4.  Toronto Monarchs (6-7)

Toronto seems to be peaking at the right time.  Excellent defense and goaltending has taken the pressure off the offense.  Less pressure has led the Monarchs offense scoring 56 goals in the last four games.  They once again have become a force in the league.

5. Paris RiverWolves (7-6)

This team has had a rough time the last few weeks.  Losers of three in a row, the RiverWolves have given up 50 goals in those defeats.  While still generating a lot of offense, the defense will need to step up if they hope to make noise in the playoffs.

6. Six Nations Snipers (4-9)

While it took a while for the Snipers to get a win, they showed week in and week out that they were very competitive.  Winners of three of their last five, the Snipers have scored 74 goals in that stretch.  If they can stay consistent, they may be a team that can pull off an upset in the playoffs.

7. Peterborough Timbermen (5-8)

The Timbermen have had a rough month, losing their last five outings.  More concerning is that four of the five losses were lopsided losses.  Averaging 10.1 goals in the losing streak, the offense will need to pick up the pace.  Facing Ohsweken this week may be just what the doctor ordered.

8. Ohsweken Bears (2-11)

This losing streak is getting concerning now.  Losers of their last 10 games, the Bears need to analyze what works, and what doesn't.   It is almost certain that a date with the Whitby Steelhawks is their first round playoff opponent.  This will be a true David vs. Goliath match-up.
