Arena Lacrosse League East Power Rankings - Week 12

The Arena Lacrosse League East Power Rankings after Week Twelve:

1. Whitby Steelhawks (9-3) ---

Another dominant performance from this group this week.  Ethan Harwood & Ryan Schuetzkowski have been outstanding in net all year.  The lineup is deep, and the team has obviously bought into the message of "whatever it takes, for the team".  The Steelhawks have shown that they are the team to beat this season.

2. Brampton Express (9-2) ---

Brampton pulled out another convincing victory against a strong opponent.   This team has shown it can win any style of game.  Special teams have proven to be very special for this team, scoring six power-play goals, as well as one shorty in this game.  The lineup is deep and the goaltending is strong.  They continue to make a case for a championship repeat.

3. Toronto Monarchs (6-6) ---

The Monarchs have been mired in a three game losing streak recently.  While Toronto has been in almost all their games this year, their offense has been a bit inconsistent.  They will need to their big guns to really be productive, if they expect to make it to the championship.

4.  Peterborough Timbermen (6-6) ---

The Timberman have lost 3 of their last 4 games recently.  However, the addition of John St. John has brought a spark, and more flare to their offense.  This was the first game where the chemistry has shown on offense.  As the team moves toward the playoffs, this team can definitely be in the conversation.

5. Ohsweken Bears (6-6) ⬆️ 1

A few weeks ago we were almost writing this team off.  Fast forward to this week and they have won three in a row, and have been in every one of their last six games.  Layne Smith has been on fire.  With Steven Portelli, Eddie Renaud, and Xander De La Ronde, the Bears offense can match anyone in the league.  Chase Martin has also been a wall in net, consistently making big saves.

6. Oshawa Outlaws (4-8) ⬆️ 1

Each week this team takes steps toward the new era of Outlaws.  Zach Terry has been solid all year.  With consistent production from Luke Laskiewicz, Braydon Hickey, and Gareth Haigh, they may surprise teams in the playoffs.  This week was a major come from behind victory, showing there is a lot of character on the team.

7. Six Nations Snipers (4-7) ⬇️ 2

A tough loss for the Snipers this week.  Heading toward halftime, Six Nations had everything going their way up 10-4.  Giving up two goals in the final minute gave life to a team that was on the ropes.  Although the Snipers scored first in the third, Oshawa took over the second half, out scoring them 8-4 sending the game to overtime.  They will need to be on their game next week playing the Brampton Express twice.

8. Paris RiverWolves (3-9) ---

This has been a tough year for the RiverWolves.  Another tough defeat this week against Whitby.  One of the main issues has been getting a full lineup to games.  There are a number of good pieces to work with for the future, and with a solid draft this team will be in contention soon.
