Arena Lacrosse League East Game Recaps - Week Twelve


The Arena Lacrosse League East continued their 2025-2026 season with four big match-ups in week twelve. 

Friday Night at the Childrens Arena in Oshawa, Ontario 

Brampton Express 16  Peterborough Timbermen 11.

For the entire first half, the Peterborough Timbermen were able to hang with the Brampton Express.  Aaron Woods, Cam Milligan, and John St. John led the way for the Timbermen.  Zach Sunderland scored five in the first half for the Express as they took an 8-7 lead to the half.

Penalties would hurt Peterborough in the third quarter.  Brampton was able to convert three of five opportunities on the power-play to take a 14-8 lead to the fourth quarter.  The Timbermen kept pressing in the fourth scoring three times, but the Express were able to hold off the challenge for a 16-11 victory. 

Zach Sunderland (5g,5a), James Whiteford (2g,4a), Tyler Halls (2g,3a), Tye Ingram (3g,2a), and Pent Eistrat (3g,1a) led the way for Brampton.  Curtis Ward (1g,5a) was the facilitator. 

Aaron Woods (2g,3a), and Hawi Francis (2g,0a) led the Timbermen, who got scoring from nine different scorers on the day.

Saturday at the Childrens Arena in Oshawa, Ontario:

Early Game

Six Nations Snipers 14   Oshawa Outlaws 15 in Overtime. 

For the majority of the first half, the Six Nations Snipers had their way with the Oshawa Outlaws.  Thunder Hill and Chayton King led the way for the Snipers, who got out to a 10-4 lead late in the second quarter.  

The second half saw the game turn around abruptly.   Led by Zach Terry and Luke Laskiewicz, who both had second half hat-tricks, Oshawa was able to tie the game with just 1:48 remaining.  In overtime Reed Chamberlain completed the Outlaws comeback converting a Zach Terry pass just 0:32 seconds into the extra period for a 15-14 Oshawa victory. 

Luke Laskiewicz (5g,7a), Zach Terry (5g,4a), Reed Chamberlain (2g,0a) led the way for Oshawa.  Braydon Hickey (1g,4a), and Brett Kloepfer (0g,3a) were the facilitators. 

For the Snipers, Thunder Hill (4g,1a), and Chayton King (3g,1a) led the way, with Wes Whitlow (1g,5a), and Jordan Goddard (0g,5a) as the facilitators.

Late Game 

Paris RiverWolves 6  Whitby Steelhawks 21

The Whitby Steelhawks showed once again just how dominant a team they could be.  Led by Liam Osborne, and Parker Pipher the Steelhawks jumped out to a 12-5 lead at the half.  

The second half didn't get easier for Paris. Whitby controlled the entire half, scoring nine times, only yielding one for a 21-6 victory.  Ryan Schuetzkowski was outstanding in the Steelhawks net only giving up six goals in the game. 

For Whitby, Liam Osborne (5g,2a), Parker Pipher (3g,6a), Tyler Goodchild (3g,3a), and Jonah Kerr (2g,3a) led the way.  Devin Pipher (2g,7a), and Brayden McGregor (1g,4a) were the facilitators. 

For Paris, Dylan Gillespie (3g,0a), Koichi Nakamura (2g,0a), and Andy Campbell (1g,0a) was the offense in this day.

Saturday at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre in Oakville, Ontario:

Ohsweken Bears 10  Toronto Monarchs 8

The Ohsweken Bears got stellar performances from Layne Smith (5g,0a) and Chase Martin (41 saves) in net.  From the opening faceoff the Bears took control.  Down 3-0, Toronto mounted an attack from Jordan Dance, and Cohen Jennings to bring them within one goal.  Ohsweken was able to put another run together before the end of the half to take a 6-3 lead to the dressing room. 

The Monarchs put together a strong second half, scoring five of the next six goals led by Riley Ford.  Tied 8-8 late in the fourth Eddie Renaud converted a Shane Halliwell feed for the go ahead goal with 1:27 remaining.   Layne Smith scored his fifth of the night into an empty net with 0:02 seconds left, giving Ohsweken the 10-8 victory. 

Of note, both Chase Martin (49 saves) and Sam Haines (41 saves) were outstanding in their respective nets. 

Layne Smith (5g,0a), and Steven Portelli (2g,1a) led the way for Ohsweken.  Xander De La Ronde (1g,3a), and Weylon Abrams (0g,3a) were the facilitators. 

Jordan Dance (2g,2a), and Riley Ford (2g,1a) led the way for the Monarchs.  Cody Innes (0g,3a) and Noah Kearney (0g,3a) were the facilitators.
