The Arena Lacrosse League East opened 2026 with four big match-ups.

Friday Night at the Memorial Arena in Brampton, Ontario

Ohsweken Bears 8  Brampton Express 24

Although the Bears came out in the third with a quick power-play goal, Brampton again took charge with another eight goal output.  Led by Zach Sunderland and Lucas Ferreira the Express took a 16-7 stranglehold in the game.  The fourth also saw Brampton flex it's scoring muscle with six different scorers in the quarter en route to a 24-8 victory.  If there was a bright spot for the Bears in this game it was their special teams unit, scoring three power-play goals, as well as two shorthanded tallies.
