Arena Lacrosse League Announces Fox 40 Caul as the Official Whistle of the ALL

ARENA LACROSSE LEAGUEANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH FOX 40 INTERNATIONAL

The Arena Lacrosse League is proud to announce FOX 40 CAUL willbe the official whistle of the ALL for the 2017 Inaugural season. Thepartnership with Fox 40 also includes Smartcoach Boards for each of the coachesinvolved with the six teams in the ALL.

“Fox 40 is very proud to support the Arena Lacrosse Leagueand we look forward to the strong sound of the Caul at each and every game”,says Fox 40 Director of Business Development Ronnie Foxcroft Jr. 

The Caul whistle was developed by Foxcroft and named afterthe late John “Gus” McCauley, a well-respected on-ice official in the NHL whoalso served as the NHL Director of Officiating until his sudden passing in1989. McCauley also made his mark in lacrosse coaching Team Canada to a goldmedal and Brampton Excelsiors to a Mann Cup as well as winning 3 Minto Cups asa player, his Excelsior number 8 is retired.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to have formed a partnershipwith Fox 40, what they have done for officials has had an impact on athleticsacross the globe” stated ALL President Paul St. John. “It is a legacy that boththe ALL and his son Blaine, a coach in the league, can carry on proudly inJohn’s name”.

The Caul is a dual-chamber design with a flexiblefingergrip, cushioned mouthpiece and made of material that doesn’t get coldmaking a sound of 110 decibels. Its currently in use in 140 countries and hasexpanded beyond the sports field in areas such as water safety, search andrescue, personal security and animal training.
