ALL Team Power Rankings for Week Five

by Gary Groob

1. Whitby Steelhawks

The Steelhawks had a big test this week, playing the Timbermen, remaining unbeaten, and remaining #1 on the list.

2. Paris RiverWolves

Paris kept up with the Whitby Steelhawks, coming out victorious in their battle with the Toronto Monarchs this week.

3. Peterborough Timbermen

The Timbermen narrowly lost to the league leading Steelhawks, losing the special teams battle. With a few tweaks, this team could be battling for the championship later in the year.

4. St. Catharines Shockwave

The Shockwave have plenty of offensive weapons and are an explosive team. What won them the championship last year was their stingy defense. We are still waiting to see if they tighten the back end, and return to the dominance of last season.

5. Oshawa Outlaws

Due to inclement weather, the Outlaws game with the Shockwave was postponed. This was a battle for position in the standings as well as in these rankings, and we will have to wait a little longer for this showdown.

6. Toronto Monarchs

The Monarchs played the RiverWolves tough, but just couldn't convert many of the opportunities they had in the game. A rough third quarter put the game out of reach. As soon as they are able to play a full 60 minute game, you'll see them move up the rankings.

7. Six Nations Snipers

The Snipers played a tough game, matching the Shockwave move for move, almost pulling off an upset. They have a well balanced offensive attack, but still have defensive lapses. If they can play disciplined, they will be successful.
