ALL East Week 1 Power Rankings:

1. Ohsweken Bears

The Bears have shown that they have vastly improved over the off season.  Putting up seventeen goals from nine scorers shows how balanced an attack they have.  Chase Martin played very well in net for the victory.

2. Whitby Steelhawks

Whitby is a perennial top team in the league, and this year is no exception.  Led by Nikolai Farrus, the Steelhawks beat the Six Nations Snipers 13-10.  Lukas Coote was solid in the Steelhawks net for the victory.

3. Toronto Monarchs

Last year's champion has picked up where they left off.  A hard fought victory over the talented Brampton Express was a good test to see where they stand this season.  Jordan Dance and Henry Follows will be instrumental in the Monarchs success.  Craig Wende was exceptional in his Arena Lacrosse League return.

4. Paris RiverWolves

Paris beat an up and coming Peterborough team in week one.  Chase Cosgrove was excellent in net.   If they can stay consistent, they will quickly move up the rankings.

5. Peterborough Timbermen

The Timberman lost a good chunk of their team last season, and were slowly putting all the pieces in place.  With up and coming stars like Cole Hanrahan, Brine Rice and Fred Hartley,  the Timbermen should be able to hold their own this season.

6. Brampton Express

Brampton had a slow start on Saturday, finding the net only three times in the first half.  The second half was more the Express style of playing, scoring seven times.  With quicker starts, this team will be in the thick of the race once again this year.

7. Six Nations Snipers

A poor first half had the Snipers fighting from behind most of the day.  Down 7-2, Six Nations fought back to tie the game 9-9 early in the fourth.  Unfortunately, they didn't have enough left in the tank dropping the game 13-10.

8. Oshawa Outlaws

The Outlaws had a lapse in the second quarter in which seven goals were scored on them.  The team put up a fight in the third, but weren't able to overcome the hole they had dug themselves.  With the talent on this team, this should be a short stop at this end of the rankings.
