ALL East Power Rankings - Week 9
The Arena Lacrosse League East Power Rankings - Week 9.
1. Whitby Steelhawks (8-0)
Still undefeated! The Steelhawks completely dominated this game getting out to an 8-0, not giving up a goal until the 19:56 mark in the game. At no point in the game did Whitby give up.more than two goals in a row. Fourteen different scorers on the afternoon again showed how ferocious an attack the Steelhawks can bring. Lukas Coote continued to shut the door on opponents, giving up only eight goals in this game.
2. Brampton Express (5-3)
A character win with a strong late push from a Gavin Thibeault hat-trick brings the Express up one spot in the rankings.
3. Paris RiverWolves (5-3)
Now a five game winning streak, this team has shown it is for real. Down by two in the final quarter, the RiverWolves showed how explosive they could be scoring seven times for the 17-15 victory. It has been said many times, good teams find ways to win, and this is a good team!
4. Peterborough Timbermen (5-3)
The Timbermen played a strong game for about 55 minutes. However, four goals in two minutes at the end of the game spoiled a good effort. Peterborough will have to tighten up the defense if they want to make noise in the playoffs.
5. Toronto Monarchs (3-5)
The Monarchs got off to a great start getting out to 4-0, and 6-2 leads. Still leading 12-10 in the fourth, it became a bumpy road. Toronto gave up seven goals to the RiverWolves, which cost them the victory. This is a good team, but needd to play for all sixty minutes.
6. Six Nations Snipers (3-5)
The Steelhawks jumped on the Snipers early in this game and never let them get going. If there was a positive to take away from this game, seven different scorers got on the board in the game.
7. Ohsweken Bears (1-7)
The Ohsweken Bears are winless no more! The Bears jumped out to an early 4-0 lead never looking back. This was the most complete game that Ohsweken played all year. Craig Wende was superb in net in the victory, turning away many tough shots from the Outlaws throughout the game.
8. Oshawa Outlaws (2-6)
The Outlaws ran a short bench in this game and it hurt them. Down early, they weren't able to catch up all afternoon. James Whiteford and Josh Gilray led the way for the depleted Outlaws group in this game, but with only six forwards, Oshawa battled uphill all day.
