The Arena Lacrosse League East 2024-2025 Power Rankings - Week 1

1. Whitby Steelhawks

The defending champs look to be picking up where they left off.  Getting out to a 7-1 lead at the half showed that they are definitely the team to beat in the league.

2. Peterborough Timbermen

This team has come a long way rebuilding from a couple of seasons ago.  Cam Milligan and Jack McAlpine will be a huge helps in leadership as well as production.  Keegan Thomas looked good in goal turning away 35 shots in the victory.

3. Brampton Express

The core of this team is together for another season, and are working well together already.  The team has showed it can finish games strong, and that will pay dividends as the season progresses.

4.  Oshawa Outlaws  - Did not play

5.  Paris RiverWolves  - Did not play

6. Six Nations Snipers

Last year the Snipers had some trouble finishing games, dropping a number of games by just a couple of goals or less.  This was another strong performance that fell just short.  I have faith they will figure it out quickly and be a force this season.

7. Toronto Monarchs

The Monarchs had a daunting task facing the defending champions in their first game of the season.  This team has lots of talent with Parker Pipher, Riley Ford, Tanner Buck, etc. With a goaltending group consisting of Craig Wende, Sam Haines and Joel Watson, this team will be a tough game each and every week.  Expect them to move up the rankings quickly.

8. Ohsweken Bears

If this team is going to succeed this season, they will need to be more disciplined.  Although they scored four power-play goals, they also gave up two shorties, and three power-play goals.  The talent level is high, and should make it tough on any team facing them.
