This Week In The Arena Lacrosse League For Week Twelve

Saturday March 7th at the Children's Arena in Oshawa...

Peterborough Timbermen vs. Oshawa Outlaws.

A disciplined Oshawa team faced a Peterborough team that was missing many of it's starters, and the inevitable happened...a blowout 25-10.

The Timberman opened the scoring, but the Outlaws would score early and often, building up a 12-3 lead at the half, enroute to the lopsided victory.

Three records fell in this game:
- most goals in a game by one team
- John St. John with 12 points in this game now has 95 on the season, breaking Bryan Neufeld's record of 85 set last week.
- Luke Laszkiewicz is the first ALL player to ever hit the 50 goal mark in a season (with his 5 goal performance, he now has 51).

John St. John (6g,6a), and Gage Board (3g,9a) led the way for Oshawa, with help from Luke Laszkiewicz (5g,5a), and Josh Gilray (3g,3a).

Aaron Woods (6g,2a), and Joel Matthews (2g,6a) led the scoring for the Timbermen, with Brett Coons (1g,1a), and Parker Sands (1g,0a) getting the other goals.

Six Nations Snipers vs. Whitby Steelhawks.

The game was cancelled due to outside circumstances, to be rescheduled at a later date.

Sunday March 8th at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena (ILA) in Haggersville, Ontario.

Toronto Monarchs vs. St. Catharines Shockwave.

The Shockwave quickly got out to a 10-3 lead after one quarter. Toronto tried to fight back with a strong second and third quarters, but St. Catharines put together a strong fourth outscoring the Monarchs 7-3 for the 21-13 victory.

Caleb Wiles (6g,2a), and Kedoh Hill (5g,3a) led the way for the Shockwave, while Bryan Neufeld (1g,5a), Chris Attwood (1g,4a), and Kobe Whitcomb (0g,4a) were the setup men.

Toronto was led by Tanner Buck (5g,1a) and Connor Brown (2g,4a), with Stefan Diachenko (1g,5a) as the setup man.

3. Kedoh Hill F St. Catharines

Peterborough Timbermen vs. Paris RiverWolves.

Peterborough got out to a 5-1 lead before Paris made a game of it, scoring three of the next four goals to go to halftime down 6-4.

The second half was very evenly played, but with just 3:18 left, Paris tied the game sending it to overtime.

Overtime went back and fourth with both teams having chances to win, but at 9:08 Joel Matthews became the hero for Peterborough, converting a Mitchell Geoffrey pass for the victory.

Joel Matthews (4g,6a), and Aaron Woods (4g,3a) led the scoring for Peterborough with Mitchell Geoffrey (2g,4a) being the setup man.

Kyle Dawson (6g,0a), and Dan Keane (2g,4a) led the scoring for Paris, with Connor Goodwin (0g,4a), and Cole Spear (0g,5a) being the setup men.

Oshawa Outlaws vs. Toronto Monarchs at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC). Game time is 8pm.

Sunday March 15th...

Six Nations Snipers vs. Paris RiverWolves at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena (ILA). Game time is 2pm.
