Team Power Rankings For Week Eleven

by Gary Groob

1. Whitby Steelhawks (9-2)

After a couple of mediocre weeks, the Steelhawks flexed their muscles in Millbrook this week. A fast 6-0 lead against the Timbermen set the stage for a dominant 16-7 victory.

2. Six Nations Snipers (5-6)

Five wins in a row, from a team that is only getting stronger by the week, has propelled this team up in the rankings. The steady play of Vern Hill, Tye Argent, and Brent Longboat, as well as the addition of rookie Marshall Powless, have made them a formidable opponent to anyone in the league.

3. Paris RiverWolves (8-3)

An upset loss to the Toronto Monarchs moved the RiverWolves back one spot this week. A very talented team that could very well play for the Cup, but focus and intensity needs to be consistent all sixty minutes for this to come to fruition.

4. Peterborough Timbermen (5-5)

A tough loss to the Whitby Steelhawks has the Timbermen sitting in the middle of the pack. A very talented group that has been inconsistent most of the year.

5. Oshawa Outlaws (4-7)

Oshawa didn't play this week

6. St. Catharines Shockwave (4-7)

Three straight losses have the Shockwave down one spot. After beating Whitby, St. Catharines has fallen on hard times, and need to sure up their defense if they want to move up in the rankings.

7. Toronto Monarchs (3-8)

A big win over the Paris RiverWolves is cause for optimism, but need to string a few wins together to move up in the rankings.
