Top five in all three major scoring categories has earned Dean Fairall a shot with the Panther City Lacrosse Club.

The National Lacrosse League club signed Fairall to their active roster on February 14 and the team is slated to play at home on February 20.

“I am excited to fulfill my dream and play in the NLL,” he said. “I started this dream five years ago (so) it feels pretty good that I might get to play this weekend.”

Fairall attended training camp with Panther City prior to this National Lacrosse League season, the fourth time he has attended an NLL camp since 2016. He did suit up in a 2018 pre-season game with Colorado before suffering an ankle injury on his first shift, which sidelined him for three months.

Through the first nine weeks of the Arena Lacrosse League West Division season, the 27-year-old left-handed forward has amassed 26 goals (first), 27 assists (fifth) and 53 points (tied for second) with the Shooting Eagles Lacrosse Club. Seven of those 26 goals have come on the power play (second in the league) and he is also tied for the league-lead with two short-handed goals.

Fairall is a six-foot-one, 200-pound forward who has played 50 games in the Western Lacrosse Association with 55 goals and 139 points over his four seasons with Coquitlam and Burnaby.
